I have an immense love for elephants. Out of all the large African mammals, the connection you get when face to face with an elephant is unmatched. The intelligence and expression of these gentle giants lend themselves to amazing photographic opportunities. Sadly, they are also one of the most persecuted. The same tusk that this young elephant seeks shelter under, is the reason for their struggle.
