A Southern Double-collared Sunbird feeds on the sap of a Strelitzia flower native to South Africa. The male in Eclipse plumage, still displaying sections of bright feathers, that perfectly mimic those of the stunning flower. These flowers provide the sunbirds with much needed energy supply to help rejuvenate after the mating season.
