At home - Inspiration for isolation

Writer: William SteelWilliam Steel

Updated: Apr 7, 2020

As South Africa and most of the world are wrapped up in the Covid19 pandemic, most of us are confined to the four walls of our properties. As a wildlife photographer this filled me with dread, as I spend most of my day trying not to be inside! Those of you who follow me on Instagram will know that I recently did a 3 image series on images photographed at home. This series was so popular that I decided I would extend it to share a few more of my photographs that have been taken in my garden over the years. From Maun (Botswana) to Britannia bay (South Africa), here are some of my favourite "at home" images, to help inspire you to pay attention to the more mundane creatures that we live alongside.

I hope everyone is staying safe and that the images bring you some joy in these dark times. - William
